Unless living in the old villages and towns found in the provinces, most Bulgarians live in
apartment blocks.

While the older apartment blocks may not seem appealing from the outside, they really are nice
on the inside. The average size for an apartment is around 112 square metres with two
bedrooms and a balcony either side.
If you were to journey to the more modern areas near the sea, then you would see a vast
difference in the aesthetic view of the apartment blocks from the outside.

In the more rural settings people live in brick houses, normally with vine yards growing out in the
back garden by the summer kitchen. These brick houses are detached properties with 2 or
more bedrooms, the only downside is that they generally have an outside toilet.

Many people are turning to Bulgarian property due to the low cost and wonderful places they
are located. Whether you wish to live in a quiet, more rural setting or you wish to live in a
vibrant, fast moving environment by the sea, Bulgaria is the place to look.

For a nice property you can pay anywhere from $10,000 upwards, which is not much!
