Bulgaria has become an investors dream with many Europeans travelling to Bulgaria to see
what property is on offer at very low prices. Many are doing this as an investment for the future
while some are actually moving in to the cities, towns and villages of this wonderful country.
Due to this we have compiled a little Plovdiv property guide to show you how property has
increased inprice.
Over the past year property prices have increased dramatically in Plovdiv, there are many
reasons for this which include increased numbers of people wishing to purchase property.
These reasons include the accession of Bulgaria in to the European Union and the fact that
properties are now sold in Euros instead of the Bulgarian Lev.

As Plovdiv is the second largest city in Bulgaria and is one of the oldest cities in Europe it lures
people by its colourful history and wonderful architecture, but also because it can also offer a
great opportunity in the business sector while keeping the costs down that would be
associated with a business in Sofia.
For anyone wishing to buy property in the city of Plovdiv it is important to review our property
guide below to ensure you fully understand where the price increases have grown the most.

As you can see even though the prices in the centre of the city are the most expensive they are
also one of the areas where property prices have increased at the lowest rate for 2007. The
reason for this is probably because many Bulgarian nationals cannot afford to live in this are
although many would like to.

Two areas that have increased at a fast rate are the areas of Trakiya and Smirrnenski which
have both seen property prices increase at an average of thirty two percent for 2007.
Reviewing these two areas one could say that this is because Smirnenski has tried to shake
off its image of being an area that the older generation live by the development of more shops,
cafe's and apartment blocks while Trakiya has seen major developments through new
shopping malls, a new supermarket and new apartments being built.

The area of Plovdiv that has seen the biggest increase in property prices is Vastanicheski.
Vastanicheski is an area that is the second lowest on average for property prices after Izgrev
but has made great efforts in trying to improve its amenities and property which is reflected in
the percentage its property has increased in price for 2007.
