Tribulus grows in the warmer regions of the world, including Bulgaria. Tribulus is a perennial
plant that grows widely and is seen as a weed in many places.

Tribulus is a well known plant due to its dietary values as many people believe it increases the
bodies natural levels of the hormone testosterone. Due to this the Tribulus plant is used by
weight lifters and body builders to increase muscle mass and a performance of a different
nature.
The Tribulus plant has many different names as a household weed from Caltrop and Puncture
vine to Goathead and Yellow vine.

The name Yellow vine originates from the fact that the Tribulus has lemon yellow flowers, these
flowers are between four and ten millimetres in width and form the shape of a star with five
petals.

Once the flower has bloomed a tiny fruit appears, this fruit eventually falls off the plant with the
outer shell falling apart to reveal little seeds that are hard and have two spikes on them.
The Tribulus forms in patches and grows flat on the ground, it is very rare that you would see a
Tribulus growing upwards unless in a cultivated environment where it is forced to do so.

As Tribulus grows in the wild throughout Bulgaria due to the warm Mediterranean style climate
there has been a lot of businesses jumping on the body building band wagon and cultivating
the Tribulus plant to sell to the masses that think it will maximise there muscle building potential.
